My 5 Learnings on 5th March 2024
#1
Burnout is a condition that can affect anyone, regardless of gender. However, there is some evidence that it may manifest differently in men and women. Men might become disengaged, lose interest, or feel detached from their work. Men may question the purpose and impact of their work, leading to decreased job satisfaction. While the women have low energy after they are burn out.
#2
Eat the frog in the morning meaning that do the most difficult thing in the morning and nothing worse will happen to you rest of the day.
#3
Finite games and infinite games. Finite games are played with the explicit goal of winning. Participants engage in these games to achieve victory, and the game concludes when a winner is declared. Finite games adhere to specific rules and boundaries. Participants recognize these constraints and compete within them. The outcome of a finite game involves clear winners and losers.
Infinite games, in contrast, are played for the sole purpose of continuing the play. There is no fixed endpoint or victory condition. Infinite games encompass any genuine interaction—whether it’s a conversation, cultural exchange, or artistic expression. These interactions exist to perpetuate the game itself. Unlike finite games, infinite games don’t have rigid boundaries. They evolve, adapt, and change their rules as circumstances shift. Infinite players display self-sufficiency and resilience rather than seeking external power. Consider life itself—an ongoing, open-ended journey where the goal isn’t to win but to engage fully in the experience.
#4
The last man standing is the one who plays infinite game. Most of the life goals and motivations are infinite games and when we are the last man standing then good things can happen to us as well.
#5
Sometimes, in our quest for perfection and efficiency, we inadvertently drain the joy from an activity.
Over-optimization can transform a playful dance into a rigid march, a leisurely stroll into a sprint against time. It’s like meticulously tuning a violin until it plays flawlessly, yet loses its soulful resonance.
Imagine a child building a sandcastle on the shore. The grains slip through tiny fingers, and the turrets wobble. But oh, the delight in creation! Now, suppose an architect steps in, armed with protractors and blueprints. The sandcastle becomes a precise fortress, but where’s the magic?
So, let’s embrace the whimsy, the messy brushstrokes, the off-key notes. Let’s dance with imperfection, laugh at our crooked lines, and savor the journey. For in the spontaneity lies the true art of living. Let us not over optimize and drain the joy out of it.
